Who we are

Our Pastors

David D. Tipton, Jr. was elected in April 2009 as the Mississippi District Superintendent for the United Pentecostal Church International. Previously, he served as Executive Director of Promotions for the General Home Missions Division at World Evangelism Center in St. Louis, Missouri for two years.

Prior to accepting the position as Promotions Director in 2007, he served in various ministerial capacities. For ten years Reverend Tipton was the Director of the Home Missions Division of the Mississippi District and pastor of The Pentecostals of Grenada, Mississippi. His first pastorate was of the First Pentecostal Church in Georgetown, Louisiana. During his time in Louisiana he served as Assistant Pastor of the First Pentecostal Church of Leesville, Louisiana and served as Section six youth director.

Bishop Tipton was born in Port St. Joe, Florida. He and his wife, Gwen, have two sons-Devonn and Damon, two foster children, Rachael and Matthew, six grandchildren and three foster grandchildren

Pastor Damon assumed the pastoral role of ThePOG in October of 2008. He also currently serves as the District Youth Secretary of the Mississippi District, UPCI.

Passionate, exuberant, and energetic only begin to describe Pastor Damon. He loves people, and he loves to serve.

He is in love with his wife Kandi, who is very active in working with the Ladies ministry and mentoring young ladies in the church. They have three incredible children, Kanon, Kade, and Darlyn Grace.

Chad Batson

Administrative Pastor

Bro. Batson is an enthusiastic preacher and musician. He loves the gospel and works diligently to organize and execute the vision of ThePOG. His desire is to serve with a spirit of excelence and passion and to see God's grace and love be ministered.

He and the love of his life, Danielle Batson, have a beautiful daughter Aubrey and energetic son Aiden. They are his joy and three greatest blessings. Danielle is a prayer warrier, powerful minister, and teaches third grade in Grenada Elementary. They count themselves blessed to be in Grenada.
